The position is at NORDEN´s office in Singapore located at Suntec City.

The tasks that await you
You will focus on negotiating and securing profitable shipping contracts, optimising vessel utilisation while adapting to fluctuating market conditions and cultivating positive relationships with clients, brokers, and other key stakeholders.

Besides this your primary responsibility includes:

  • Maximising earnings on own tonnage.
  • Creating direct value doing short-term contracts, tonnage and cargoes.
  • Obtaining and sharing market information.
  • Analysing market research and formulating market views.
  • Closely collaborating with Operations on ongoing voyages to proactively optimise results ensuring high-level service to clients.
  • Developing strategic trades to enable growth globally.
  • Coordinating and positioning our fleet in close cooperation with the team.

Business travels is to be expected.

Your competences and core qualifications
As a person, you take pride in building good relationships with relevant stakeholders - internal and external. You are able to work on your own, while prioritising the needs of the team. It is energising for you to coordinate and direct your communication to ensure an optimised workflow.

Apart from this you have:

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience within Dry Cargo Chartering.
  • A proven history within following areas:
    • Far East Markets.
    • Trading and Optimising earnings on tonnage and cargoes.
    • Key customer relationships.
    • Basic understanding of hedging and FFA.
