As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines and datasets empowering data-driven decision-making that will promote innovation and growth across NORDEN.

On a more practical note, you will as a Data Engineer, access large and diverse datasets generating features and insights that will be of high value to stakeholders when making critical business and trading decisions. Your role will be crucial in transforming data into a competitive advantage.

You will use a modern tech stack anchored in Microsoft Fabric, including PySpark, SQL, Azure DevOps and Azure cloud solutions while gaining a deep understanding of today's shipping market dynamics.

The tasks that await you
To be more specific you will together with the rest of the team, be responsible for tasks such as:

  • Build and maintain data pipelines.

  • Create datasets by integrating internal and external data.

  • Extract actionable insights for decision-making and model features.

  • Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to solve business challenges.

  • Lead data capture, validation, enrichment and support efforts.

  • Develop scalable data engineering solutions to drive organizational value.

Your core qualifications
We are looking for a colleague who is curious and wants to expand their knowledge in a fast-paced global trading environment. To thrive in this position, you should be able to tick off the following:

  • You have 1-3 years of experience within the field of data engineering.

  • You hold a degree in business administration and information technology mathematical modeling, statistics, computer science, software engineering, or similar areas.

  • You hold Data Engineering skills and have preferably worked with Lakehouse and delta tables in Microsoft Fabric or Azure Databricks.  

  • You have great English skills. 

  • You are eligible to work in Denmark.  

Further, you have to some extent participated in decision-making regarding overall structuring of data.
