At NORDEN, we empower global trade by leveraging data-driven insights to manage risk, provide efficient freight solutions and ensure robust governance.
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Risk Management team in Copenhagen. Within the team, you will join 5 colleagues in Risk and Financial Analytics focused on developing analytical solutions supporting risk management, finance and decarbonisation.
What is in it for you
The role is a combination of software engineering and development. You will be combining system design, backend development and ownership of live systems running in Azure.
Most of our solutions are developed internally, with focus on Risk measurement, Performance analysis and Emission compliance. You will work across the full development lifecycle. From understanding business needs to designing architecture, implementing solutions and ensuring stable operations in production.
All of this happens in a friendly, collaborative and people‑focused environment where your skills are valued and your contributions genuinely matter.
The task that awaits you
In this role, you will take on a range of responsibilities but with focus on software engineering.
Your core contributions will include tasks such as:
- Design and build scalable, maintainable software systems based on clean, efficient, modular and well-tested code.
- Take ownership of systems running in production, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Continuously improve architecture, tools and development practices to adhere to best practices.
- Explore automation opportunities using AI.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
What you bring
We are looking for a colleague who has:
- +3 years of experience working within the field of Software Development.
- A degree in data, IT, software engineering or another analytical field.
- Experience with design of system and architecture in Azure.
- Deep experience with Python and SQL.
- Knowledge of APIs, integrations and data pipelines.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub and version control.
- Experience running and maintaining live/production systems.
An approachable nature and problem-solving skills are also significant, as you will interact with a broad range of stakeholders. And you are open to exploring new approaches to our current methods.
Application
Please upload your application, resume, and relevant diplomas via our website as soon as possible and no later than 21 April 2025. We review applications and interview candidates on an ongoing basis.
We will do our best to get back to you at least within ten working days after the application deadline, 21 April 2026.
