At NORDEN, we believe that great outcomes start with people. As we continue to evolve our digital capabilities, we are looking for a Data Engineer, who are motivated to build reliable, scalable data solutions, to join our Data Engineering team in Copenhagen.

As our new Data Engineer, you will shape how high quality, trusted data flows across NORDEN.
Your work will directly influence how we design, build and maintain scalable pipelines and datasets that power insights, automation and smarter decisions across our business.

What is in it for you
Joining NORDEN means becoming part of a global organisation with a clear focus on digital innovation and data driven solutions. As a Data Engineer, you will help shape the data foundation behind smarter business and trading decisions.

You will be part of a tight‑knit team of nine colleagues working closely with digital and commercial colleagues in an open, collaborative environment where ideas move fast and people come first.

You will deepen your understanding of global shipping dynamics while building solutions that make a real impact.

This is a position for you who want to apply your technical skills in an environment that values experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement. Besides this, we value trust, feedback and collaboration.

The tasks that await you
Your day-to-day will involve working with large, diverse datasets, turning raw information into valuable features and insights using a modern Microsoft based tech stack, including PySpark, SQL, Azure DevOps and Microsoft Fabric.

More specifically your main tasks will include to:

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines that keep our insights flowing.
  • Combine internal and external data to create trusted, usable datasets.
  • Turn data into actionable insights and model-ready features.
  • Manage the processes of data capture, validation and enrichment.
  • Build reliable, future-ready solutions that bring lasting value.

Your core qualifications
You are curious to grow in an ever-evolving, global trading environment. You enjoy solving real problems with data and working across teams to make things better.

Besides this we are looking for someone who:

  • Has 1–3 years of experience working with data engineering or similar.
  • Hold a degree in data, IT, engineering or another analytical field.
  • Have practical experience with Lakehouse architecture — using Microsoft Fabric or Azure Databricks.
  • Communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken.
  • Have played a part in shaping how data is structured or used in past roles.

Besides this you are already living in Denmark and are eligible to work here.
