At NORDEN, we believe in empowering maritime professionals at various stages in their careers by creating opportunities for learning and connection.

As part of your BSc in International Shipping & Trade at Copenhagen Business School, this 9-month internship will place you in a global and widely connected environment in the maritime space, bringing your theoretical knowledge into practice. The objective is that you continue your career with NORDEN after the programme.

What is in it for you
Throughout the structured programme, you will be assigned a manager, a mentor and buddies, ensuring that you are supported every step of the way.

  • Your Manager is responsible for your overall well-being and development.
  • Your Mentor will be guiding you in your day-to-day work and regularly check in to provide feedback and support your well-being, progress and aspirations.
  • Your Buddies will connect you to the NORDEN culture and will, on an ongoing basis, arrange social events for all Interns, Trainees and Student Assistants.

You will contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking environment with an international footprint. Our focus is on enabling individuals through trust, empowerment and a well-defined sense of belonging.

Quickly, you will be trusted to fix or operate your own vessels, contribute to the business and become an equally important member of the team.

You will be part of a professional community while gaining a unique network of colleagues across the globe who will support you in your development.

What you bring
We look for Interns who show curiosity, a willingness to acquire new skills and a grasp of commercial concepts. A motivation to grow with NORDEN is essential.

An approachable nature and problem-solving skills are also significant, as you will interact with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

It is a requirement that you start the third year of your BSc in International Shipping & Trade at Copenhagen Business School in the summer of 2026.

What we offer
During your 9-month internship, you will join either the Operations or Chartering department. Your interests and skills will help decide where you will start your career with us.

You will also be introduced to our different business areas and get broad insights into the world of international shipping and trade.

The internship is a full-time position, 37 hours a week. Whereof 25 hours a week are considered part of your study and will be covered by your SU, while the remaining 12 hours a week will be fixed pay as a Student Assistant. Time for courses and exams will be coordinated with Copenhagen Business School.

The process
The recruitment process consists of one interview. You will be asked to complete a behavioural and cognitive assessment before your interview.

We expect the process to be finalised, with signed agreements, in December 2025. The internship will take effect from 1 September 2026, but we are open to an earlier start date where you can join as a Student Assistant.

We look forward to receiving your CV, cover letter and CBS transcript no later than 9 November 2026.

We will do our best to get back to you at least within ten working days after the application deadline, 9 November 2026.
