Are you dedicated, curious and enthusiastic about sanctions compliance? Investigative and solution oriented? Then you may be exactly what we are looking for.

NORDEN is looking for a Sanctions Risk Analyst to join the Risk Management team. The team consists of 13 passionate people situated in Copenhagen, with a wide range of backgrounds covering mathematics, statistics, physics, finance, compliance and shipping. Our overall responsibility is to identify, measure and monitor market risk, credit risk, sanctions risk and liquidity risk, and we also manage the overall bunker market risk.

Complying with sanctions regulations in the complex world of shipping requires a multifaceted approach, as we during a normal year deal with thousands of different counterparts in nearly all countries around the world. We therefore have a dedicated sanctions risk team under Risk Management, currently comprised of two people that combine their shipping understanding, sanctions regime and legislation insight with market leading screening tools to ensure a culture of sanctions compliance throughout our organization.

NORDEN has no tolerance for sanctions risk, thus at times it can be like balancing on a knife’s edge reviewing different sanctions regimes in order to identify areas of opportunities where NORDEN will not be in breach of sanctions, but still be able to offer business to our customers and thus creating additional value for the trading floors”, says Flemming Dahl Jensen, Sanctions Compliance and Security Officer
