The job
As an Operator in NORDEN you will operate a group of vessels in various areas and various ship sizes. This includes, but is not limited to; monitoring, negotiating, measuring, and optimizing the performance of dry cargo vessels, as well as daily contact and coordination with vessels, agents, internal stakeholders and support functions, Charterers and Owners to ensure smooth operation.
You will become part of a large, skilled, and diverse global team - but at the same time, you will work in a smaller group with various experience and knowledge.

Your profile
To be considered for this role, it is a requirement that you hold a permit for living and working in Australia.
You have minimum 2 years shipping experience in the dry bulk sector. You thrive in an environment where relationships and P&L are equally prioritized. You enjoy taking responsibility and ownership; demonstrating your ability to optimize voyages and delivering a high-quality service to our customers.
You are inquisitive, motivated and a great problem solver who is comfortable in a diverse and forward-thinking environment.
Being part of a smaller team; you are collaborative, trustworthy, and reliable. You are focused on quality work and overall team development. You should be trusted, work independent and maintain ownership over your fleet of vessels, projects, and assignments.
As NORDEN are well into the digital age, a key quality will be your understanding and knowledge of various IT systems and processes. Experience with IMOS and SEDNA is considered an asset.
