As part of NORDEN’s collaboration with Copenhagen Business School (CBS), we offer a 9-month internship as part of the BSc in International Shipping and Trade programme. Please note that in order to be taken into consideration for the internship, it is a prerequisite to be a student with this programme at CBS.

What is in it for you
As an intern with NORDEN, you will be introduced and exposed to different perspectives of our business, no matter which team you join. As part of a Chartering or Operations Team, you will learn to understand our Advanced Analytics and as part of a Business Performance Team, you will learn to understand the commercial dynamics, etc. During the internship, you will therefore gain experience with:

  • Data Science
  • Risk Management
  • Business Performance Measurement.

If possible, during the internship, we will arrange a NORDEN experience at sea for you.

Your qualifications

  • A student at Copenhagen Business School (CBS), BSc International Shipping & Trade
  • Aspiring, enthusiastic and curious personality
  • Preferably experience in working with data analytics

What we offer
The internship is part of the BSc in International Shipping and Trade, and 25 hours/week are considered part of your study and will be covered by your SU. We do expect you to work full-time (37 hours/week) and you will be paid as a Student Assistant for the additional 12 hours/week (fixed salary).

We ensure dedicated mentors during the internship and an international environment where you will experience being in the centre of international shipping. Any activities with NORDEN related to the internship will be coordinated with CBS regarding courses and exams.

The process
The recruitment process for the Internships with NORDEN consists of two interviews, supplemented by a personality and cognitive assessment. We expect to have signed agreements by December 2021. Start date of the Internship is 1 September 2022 but we are flexible to an earlier start date.
