Are you ready to get a solid business foundation, through real-life exposure to the shipping industry involving hands-on work, responsibility and innovative ideas? And do you see yourself combining this practical work with social gatherings and building a broad network?

Then this 9-month internship is for you.

What is in it for you
As an Intern, you will face real-life tasks related to areas and courses completed on a theoretical level at CBS, get first-hand experience in using advanced analytics in decision-making, and get insights into the commercial dynamics of the industry.

You will be part of a professional and collaborative community while gaining a unique network of fellow Interns, Trainees and colleagues who will support you in your development. A motivated mentor will coach and guide you in your work while having regular check-ins focusing on your well-being, progress and aspiration.

Your qualifications

  • In the summer of 2025, you will start your third year of the BSc, International Shipping & Trade at Copenhagen Business School.

  • You are aspiring, enthusiastic, and curious.

What we offer
As an Intern in NORDEN we will support and enable your development and skills in a diverse and global shipping environment.

For the 9-month internship, you will be attached to one department: either Operations, Chartering or Asset Management. Your interest and where we see a personality fit will determine which department you will be attached. Besides being attached to one department you will be introduced to different business areas and will get broad insights to the world of international shipping and trade.

The internship is part of the BSc in International Shipping and Trade at CBS and is a full-time position, 37 hours/week.

25 hours/week are considered part of your study and will be covered by your SU. For the remaining 12 hours/week you will be paid a fixed salary as a Student Assistant. Time for courses and exams will be coordinated with CBS.

The process
The recruitment process consists of one interview, supplemented by a personality and cognitive assessment, that you will have to complete before the interview. We expect the process to be finalised, with signed agreements, in December 2024.

The Internship will take effect from 1 September 2025, but we are open to an earlier starting date where you can join as a Student Assistant.

NORDEN values diversity in thought, educational background, and professional competencies and therefore encourages all qualified candidates to apply for the position. We look forward to receiving your CV, cover letter, and CBS transcript no later than 10 November 2024.
