NORDEN launches improved parental package in Denmark to strengthen conditions and flexibility

29/09/2022

NORDEN is strengthening its focus on diversity and inclusion by launching an improved parental package for all new parents in Denmark. The improved package offers 24 weeks of equal leave with full pay for new mothers, fathers, co-parents and adoptive parents.

“We are constantly looking for new ways to strengthen our employees’ benefits and become even more inclusive. Becoming a parent is a life-changing experience, and we want to be as supportive and flexible as possible. It is therefore a natural next step for us to improve our conditions for all new parents in Denmark,” says Jan Rindbo, CEO of NORDEN.

Last year, NORDEN introduced the parental package offering all new fathers and co-parents globally with the option to take 12 weeks of leave with full pay. Furthermore, all employees on unpaid parental leave were granted full employer-paid pension and paid vacation. The initiative has already proven to be a success, and with the improved parental package, NORDEN also aims to provide new parents with even more flexibility when distributing the leave between them - hereby creating more equal career opportunities for all new parents including mothers.

The improved parental package has already come into effect and covers all employees in Denmark regardless of seniority and job level.
